This is very sad, crazy Kenya!!!

Where was WARMA when the houses went up less than 10yrs ago? This agency needs a makeover

the owners should be compensated.. it's not their fault.

The number of things that people suffer in this country that aren't their fault... Kulipwa watangoja sana

Some temporary reprieve for the Green Park Estate dwellers...

And if this can happen to a middle class dweller. What about the holoi poloi. Having lost hard cash in a land transaction myself, I pray that the affected residents may get peace since even without destruction, obtaining peaceful sleep will not be possible noting that the house is on a riparian and cannot/can be barely be sold or even used as collateral!

Houses being auctioned after owners refused to continue servicing mortgages after WARMA declared houses were on riparian land. Who will risk buying such houses?

Asymmetric information. Some poor souls will be suckered in.

Dont be surprised to find a few people still buying the houses being auctioned knowing very well the houses are on riparian land.
